Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

It is with great pride that I welcome you to Taren Point Public School.

In selecting our school for your child you have chosen a caring and stimulating educational environment with an emphasis on quality teaching.

Our school's positive student welfare programs are designed to equip students with the skills to succeed in a changing and at times, challenging world.

Our highly professional, dedicated teachers provide quality educational programs, which meet student needs and develop the talents of each individual child. Staff ensure all students take personal responsibility for their own learning and behaviour and build on the school's ethos of being safe, respectful learners.

We recognise individual talents and potential, offering a variety of extra-curricular opportunities including an effective Student Representative Council (SRC), French lessons and programs, a broad range of sporting programs including Primary School Sports competition (PSSA), visual arts workshops and performing arts programs that showcase exemplary dance and choir performances.

We are fortunate to have expansive, park like grounds with room to play and grow. Our spacious classrooms are fully air conditioned and well resourced. Our teachers design each learning space for today’s 21st century learners. Outdoors, learning continues with stimulating play spaces, vegetable gardens, citrus trees and free range chickens.

At Taren Point, every child’s academic, social and emotional well-being and success is a priority. Parents of our school often talk about the community spirit, the friendly, welcoming nature of the school and the positive partnerships between our school and families. We value the enormous support of a very active P & C, parent helpers and local residents and businesses. We know that together we can make a difference.

We look forward to welcome you at our school. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Warm regards
