Student counselling

School counsellors are experienced teachers who have a degree in psychology and post-graduate qualifications in school counselling. They can work with students of all ages and their families, throughout their school years.

The school counsellor can run assessments to determine students' aptitudes and intelligence and they can also assist students who may be feeling extremely sad or anxious. Contact us if you would like to make an appointment. Our school counsellor visits every second Tuesday and follows up with students in this time.

It is important to seek help early if you notice any major change in your child's behaviour.

Our school counsellor works in the school a day per fortnight. Referrals to see the school counsellor should be made through the classroom teacher. However, in the case of highly sensitive or confidential matters, appointments may be made through the school office or in writing via a sealed envelope.

Our counsellor contributes information, understanding and advice on the learning and behaviour of students, enabling parents and teachers to better meet the needs of individual students.
